Sunny Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading company in their industry to recruit an experienced Accounts Officer for a full time position within their finance team
WORKING HOURS..
Monday -Friday 9am – 5pm
Work 3 days on site, 2 from home
THE ROLE…
- Assist the Accounting Clerk and help resolve any queries promptly to meet reporting deadlines.
- Manage the sales ledger by issuing invoices on time, reconciling with the general ledger, and handling credit control.
- Maintain cash books, process transactions, complete monthly bank reconciliations, and ensure alignment with the general ledger.
- Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate bank funding.
- Handle intercompany transactions, including invoicing, maintaining schedules, and reconciling balances.
- Prepare monthly accruals and prepayments, ensuring accurate schedules and reconciliation with the general ledger.
- Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliation.
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and other required filings.
- Complete National Statistics returns as needed.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU…
- AAT Qualified / or equivalent
- Significant proven accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft applications, as required.
- Experience of computerised accounting packages is essential.
