About the role and what you will be doing as a Bookkeeping and Payroll Clerk:
Do you have a passion for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to be part of a forward-thinking accountancy firm? We’re seeking a talented Bookkeeping and Payroll Clerk to join our clients dynamic team and play a key role in their ongoing growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Process payroll accurately and timely, including calculations, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and receivable to maintain financial transparency.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets as needed.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations pertaining to bookkeeping and payroll.
What we need from you:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and payroll processing, preferably in an accounting practice or similar environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software including Xero & Bright Pay desirable.
- Strong understanding of payroll procedures, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
