CNC Programmer

THE ROLE

  

• Developing and implementing efficient CNC programs for a variety of machine tools using Solid CAM software.
• Collaborating closely with the design and production teams to ensure seamless integration of CNC programs into the manufacturing process.
• Analysing and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints to determine the best programming approach.
• Creating and maintaining detailed documentation of CNC programs, including revisions and optimizations.
• Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to CNC programming or machine operation.
• Keeping up to date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in CNC programming and SolidWorks / Solid CAM software.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards in the CNC programming process.

  
ABOUT YOU

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming, with a strong focus on SolidWorks / Solid CAM software.
• In-depth knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and machine capabilities.
• Proficiency in interpreting and working with engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all aspects of the role.
• Familiarity with industry-specific software, such as CAD and CAM programs, is a plus.
