Community Engagement Assistant

A Community Engagement Assistant is wanted to join this independent, commercially run organisation in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Monday – Friday 37.5hrs per week
9 months maternity cover
£10.77 per hour
Milford Haven

  • Coordination of their Community Programmes.
  • Attendance at collaborative events
  • Record and report on Community Investment activity.
  • Assist with the development and production of corporate literature and other printed material (including proof reading) and then liaise with graphic designers and printers to ensure accuracy of information, within agreed timescales and to budget.
  • Coordination of visits and events – booking venues, arranging catering, managing invitation lists, conducting risk assessments etc.
  • Seeking out new community partnerships that reinforce our values and maintain positive relationships with current partnerships
  • Act as the first point of contact to the PR & Communications Team, responding to enquiries and providing information as required within limits of authority.
  • To provide general administration support – General typing, photocopying, organisation of meetings/events and minute taking.
  • Generating timely reports as required from various sources.
  • Market research as required using up to date techniques.
  • Other duties of a similar level as required.


  • Strong IT skills
  • Event management skills.
  • Good organisational skills, coupled with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to work on own initiative.
  • A creative thinker, an ‘ideas’ person who can come up with new ideas.
  • Ability to work under pressure and confident when dealing with colleagues, customers, and the media.
  • Ability to work as team member.
  • A driving licence and access to own transport.
