What to expect
Our client is looking for a suitably qualified individual to join their small Finance Team. You will be contributing to the effective and efficient financial administration of the foundation and their wider associates.
The Key Responsibilities of this post are as follows:
- Reporting through the finance officer to the finance manager.
- Using SAGE Software to assist and support the work of the finance team.
- To perform a variety of administrative tasks and provide support, as required, and as a valued member of the financial team and office.
- To work collaboratively and flexibly with colleagues to provide an efficient and smooth administrative service at the office.
- To contribute to the effective financial administration of the Board and wider associates.
- Minute taking for major committees as required.
- To take a pro-active role in helping to keep the workplace tidy, pleasant, and safe.
- To attend and participate in team meetings, taking minutes if required.
- To be responsible for counting, balancing, recording, and banking using SAGE software
- To assist with the administration of the payroll.
- To be first point of contact for enquiries relating to the Finance Team or Board.
- To receive incoming telephone calls and to direct calls appropriately
- To attend meetings of the Board and take minutes.
- To undertake any reasonable and/or delegated tasks as required.

ABOUT YOU
- Knowledge of SAGE accounting package and payroll experience
- Flexible with regard to your approach to work
- Competent with Welsh speaking (Desirable but not essential)
- Excellent computer skills in MS Office suite — Word, Excel, and databases
- Competent in both written and spoken English
- Ability to work unsupervised and to identify and manage priorities within the workload
- A hands-on approach to duties
- Good interpersonal skills for communicating tactfully and effectively with staff and others
- A good memory and a persistent approach to following through on enquiries
- A team player
- Well organised and a neat and tidy approach to work and workplace
- A courteous manner for dealing with visitors to the office, handling incoming telephone calls etc.
- Experience of taking minutes (desirable but not essential)
