A Health & Safety Advisor required for a busy project based in Milford Haven, in beautiful Pembrokeshire.
Up to 35k dependant on experience and qualifications
Full time, permanent postion
Mon-Fri 8.30am-5pm (37.5hr per week) with ad hoc occasional weekend working

What will you be doing?
- To assist the Head of Health Safety & Security deliver the Health & Safety Compliance for the company and promote a positive safety culture
- To deputise for the Head of Health Safety & Security when responsibility is designated in their absence
- Provide professional advice to all operational areas on all matters relating to Health & Safety
- Carry out accident/incident investigations in accordance with the Company Accident/Incident Reporting procedure and, analysing all data, making recommendations to avoid any reoccurrences
- Assist functional managers within the operational areas to understand their responsibilities for managing the Health & Safety of their teams
- Undertake General and Fire Risk Assessments
- Ensure that all Health and Safety documents are prepared and managed in accordance with the company Document Control system
- Support the site management teams to ensure compliance with all requirements stipulated in the relevant PIMS procedures
- Conduct health and Safety workplace inspections and write reports that include corrective actions
- Manage all Health, Safety and Environmental Notice Boards
- Deliver Health, Safety & Security presentations to groups of Staff
- Review Health & Safety department statistics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Develop and implement Project / Health & Safety campaigns and improvement plans in agreement with the Head of HSS
- Deliver Health & Safety Corporate Inductions and manage the Induction process across the business
- To provide Health & Safety support to new projects ensuring compliance to Construction Design Management Regulations (2015) are adhered to and delivered
- To manage the development and performance of Safety Champions and the Health & Safety Committee overseeing the delivery of required actions for improvement
ABOUT YOU
- NEBOS, IOSH qualified preferred but would consider candidates qualified by experience
- Solid career path within Health & Safety
- This is NOT a desk job – you will be out in the field coaching managers
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders
- Knowledge of Work flow, tool box talks
- Proven Administrative experience and ability,
- Strong IT skills including MS office. (Training will be given on HR software)
- Good organisation and planning skills,
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work on own initiative and manager own workload
- Ability to remain confidential at all time
