About the role of Junior Project Manager
Reporting into the Head of Programme Management Office (PMO), the Junior Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that Jira based projects are moving forwards effectively, working with departments across the whole spectrum of the business.
As a Junior Project Manager, you will be working alongside some of the industry’s established and respected business leaders. You will work as part of the project team taking the lead on project management tasks.
The Role
- Work as part of the project team taking the lead on project management tasks
- Keeping projects on track, by being methodical, logical, and engaging with key stakeholders
- Organising projects using planning tools and communicating to key stakeholders (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
- Maintain & update project plans
- Identifying risks, issues and dependencies and acting accordingly, and helping to keep projects on track
- Leading cross team planning and update meetings
About you
- Keeping projects on track, by being methodical, logical, and engaging with key stakeholders
- Organising projects using planning tools and communicating to key stakeholders
- Maintain & update project plans
- Daily monitoring the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
- Assist in delivery of KPI’s and working to the overall project plan
- Identifying risks, issues and dependencies and acting accordingly
- Escalate & manage project risks and issues
- Applying quality, creativity, and innovation as per PMO instruction within projects
- Attend stand-up meetings daily
- Attending meetings, minuting actions & adding to planned projects
- May be required to perform out of hours support
- You will be Proficient at working in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint & Excel
- Project management qualifications desirable such as Prince 2 or APMP. However, not essential as certified training will be part of the development plan
- You will live local and be able to attend the office in Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthenshire (West Wales) for meetings and training as required.
