Stacey’s Kitchen has been well received since it opened in August 2022 in Bishops park, Abergwilli, which is also home to the Carmarthenshire Museum. The café is open 7 days per week serving barista coffees, cakes, light lunches and afternoon teas. It holds regular speciality chef evenings and hosts a range of events such as baby showers and birthday parties.
A second café has also recently opened based at the new builders merchants; All Trades Supplies at The Old Tin Works in Priory St (old Jewsons location). Here, all day breakfasts are popular along with the light lunches and hot and cold beverages.
THE ROLE
As a result of this growth, they are looking to recruit new team members both with experience of food service and those willing to learn. The cafes teams are fairly small so everyone is trained on many aspects of the kitchen and front of house such as barista machine and till and will be given food safety training.
The duties start in the morning with food prep and restocking. Then when service starts, you may be taking orders, preparing food and drinks, serving customers, clearing tables and washing up. At the end of the day the café is thoroughly cleaned down which would be part of the role also.
