Machine Operator – Timber Processing
Location: Cenarth (Near Newcastle Emlyn)
Job Type: Temporary (Potential for permanent role based on performance and site requirements)
Salary: Competitive salary depending on experience
Hours: Full-time | Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute lunch break)
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run timber specialist located near Newcastle Emlyn. This is a great opportunity to join a busy, supportive team in the local timber processing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating and monitoring timber processing machinery (saws, planers, cutting lines).
- Safely feeding raw timber into production lines and inspecting finished products.
- Conducting basic quality control checks and routine machine upkeep.
- Adhering strictly to health and safety standards across the sawmill yard.
- Assisting with general yard, stacking, and timber preparation duties as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in machine operation, timber, manufacturing, or agricultural work is desirable.
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to routinely lift, carry, and maneuver heavy timber products, fencing panels, and building materials weighing up to 25kg.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (including rain, cold, and heat).
- Reliable, punctual, and a genuine team player.
