Job Title: Night Transport Planner

Hours: 7pm to 7am, 4 on 4 off shift pattern
Job Description:
Due to a recently won contract and sustained high growth, a leading waste and recycling company is expanding its team. Sunny are seeking two permanent Night Planners to work from our client’s Swansea offices. We need ambitious and capable individuals to help our client meet their strategic objectives. The role involves ensuring the smooth, day-to-day operation and planning of our client’s fleet, communicating with drivers, and coordinating with third parties.
Responsibilities:
- Strategically plan and coordinate night routes to ensure all deliveries are completed on schedule.
- Act as a key point of contact for drivers, managing real-time issues and adapting plans quickly in response to unforeseen challenges.
- Accurately maintain transport records and ensure all delivery documentation is correctly imported.
- Ensure strict compliance with all industry and company regulations.
- Complete a comprehensive handover for the day team, flagging any critical routing or delivery issues.
- Perform general administrative duties and adhere to all Health, Safety, HR, and Environmental policies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in transport planning, with a strong understanding of logistics and route optimisation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with drivers and external partners effectively.
- Highly organised with a keen ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.
