Our client, a leading global manufacturer in specialty ingredients, supplying the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries are currently recruiting an Operations/Plant Manager to join their friendly team in Felinfach (Ceredigion)
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Global Operations Director, the Operations / Plant Manager is accountable for general site management & administration and the effective planning and execution of all manufacturing and interrelated functions to meet financial, customer service, food safety, quality, productivity, and health & safety objectives.

- We need your operations management experience in a regulated industry and leadership skills to manage all production, engineering, maintenance, and warehouse operations.
- With your organizational and planning skills, you will minimize raw material, finished goods inventory and obsolete stocks through effective production scheduling tools and stock management techniques whilst maintaining industry standard and lead-times.
- You will drive a safety-first culture and exceed food safety and GMP hygiene standards compliant with both Company and statutory regulations.
- Your ability to think strategically and collaborate coupled with a practical approach to achieving planned objectives will allow you to be a key member of the management team. You will work with Sales, Technical, Quality and Financial departments to contribute to business improvement and strategy initiatives.
- Your experience in process improvement programs will be key to develop, justify and implement capital investment initiatives to improve plant efficiencies, and meet future business requirements.
ABOUT YOU
- A minimum of ten years’ management experience within an operations or site management role in a similar industry
- Comprehensive EHS knowledge and experience, ideally within hazardous environments
- Able to demonstrate strong people management and motivational skills as well as the ability to resolve complex, technical issues.
- A successful track record in improving productivity, cost control, quality, and service.
- Ideally a university degree, preferred chemical engineering or related discipline. Extensive, relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
- Proven leadership experience in operations management within the food or closely related industry required.
- Comprehensive EHS knowledge and experience, ideally within hazardous environments
