WHO ARE THEY:
They are recruiting for a Project Manager (Continuous Improvement) to join their team on a Fixed Term Contract for 12-14 months.
To manage specific Animal Nutrition projects across all product families, departments, and locations, to drive the continuous improvement and efficiency of Animal Nutrition’s processes, systems and alignment needed to provide an efficient and cost-effective service offering to their customers and meet growth strategy.
The role will design and implement solutions to advance and align their current processes, integrating as much as possible with their Systems to allow them to make most efficient use of their assets (IFS, SharePoint, etc) and allow their processes to run smoothly and effectively.
Salary £35k – 40k
Fixed Term for 12-14 months
Based in Royston, Cambridgeshire or Port Talbot, South Wales.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Management of specific projects, ensuring the Project Charters are drawn up and each project is managed to conclusion in accordance with Goals and Deliverables.
- Influence a strong Continuous Improvement ethos throughout all activities.
- Ensure environmental, health and safety and workplace company, legal and regulatory requirements are adhered to within scope of projects
- Ensure that all Projects are in alignment with our Business Management Systems
- Champion appropriate behaviours in line with policies and Code of Conduct.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- In line with the agreed Project list, draw up Project Charters for each project to include timeline and resource requirements
- Co-ordinate and lead projects, taking a proactive part in activities, and drive through to conclusion.
- Implementation of improvements, training of colleagues where appropriate and ensuring all
- improvements are documented.
- Gatekeeper of Animal Nutrition CI Project List
- Carry out internal audits across Animal Nutrition division
- Train others as required in 1a and 1b Continuous Improvement
- Identify areas for improvement across Animal Nutrition and provide proposals to influence implementation.
- Report on performance against the agreed KPI’s.
- Assist in any part of the business as and when required, within the scope of existing experience, knowledge and/or competence.
ABOUT YOU
- Continuous Improvement accreditation
- ERP knowledge: preferably IFS.
- Project Management experience
- Microsoft office
- 2C8 process flow mapping
- An ability to collate, present and provide solutions to issues is essential, utilizing a Root Cause Analysis to ensure a common approach.
- Continuous Improvement accreditation
- Good communication across all levels of the business.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload, meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, with good written, verbal and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional and should command respect from colleagues around the UK Group

- Good literacy, numeracy, and high degree of computer literacy.
