Quality Systems, Environment and Health & Safety CI Lead wanted to join this forward thinking, growing, international organisation at there Port Talbot Factory.

About the Role;
- Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will work closely with the site management, operations & R&D teams as well as the Group Quality Assurance, Health Safety & Environment Managers
- Management of the day to day Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental , Energy and Continuous Improvement activities on site and implement the Group QEHS policy and standards
- To report weekly and monthly on the site QEHS KPI’s, supporting site teams to meet QEHS KPI targets
- Site contact for enforcement & regulatory authorities
Health & Safety - Working with R&D and Operations to conduct & review Health and Safety risk assessments and implement associated Safe Systems of Work
- Carry out site Health and Safety inspections and rectify any non-compliances found with the department head
Quality Systems - Manage the site internal audit program
- Co-ordinate review of site QMS procedures & ensure site adherence to group Quality Policies/procedures
- Conduct internal audits against certification standards and site procedures
Environment - Work with the Group Energy & Environment Manager to develop site plans in line with group Sustainability roadmap
Continuous Improvement (CI)
Proactive support for site CI programme including championing use of appropriate problem-solving methodologies.
Take a key role in progressing site CI projects - Support the use of CI tools across the site
About You..
- You will be structured with good organised and logical approach, ‘completer finisher’ of tasks
- Ability to assess risk – need to demonstrate that this skill has been used in a work environment
- Ability to communicate with factory floor to site leadership team, i.e able to engage and influence
- Able to investigate, establish root cause and identify 100 yr fix
- Ability to prioritise and balance multiple workstreams, work under some pressure
- Good IT & analytical skills
- Previous experience in either a quality systems or H&S role
- Previous experience of meeting accreditation or certification standards
Would be an advantage if you have;
- Experience in food and/or feed industry/environment
- Green belt or higher certification in lean management
- Experience of ISO 9001, ISO45001, ISO50001, Feed certification such as FAMI-QS
- Auditing of management systems, e.g. ISO 9001 or similar;
- The application of HACCP systems
- Hold certificate in:
-HACCP Level 3
-NEBOSH General Certificate or International Certificate in General -Health and Safety (NCRQ)
-Auditing qualification – General Internal Auditing, Lead Auditor
