Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor 

Location: Cross Hands, Carmarthenshire  

Job Type: Permanent basis 

Pay:  Up to £60K per year depending on experience 

Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30

Who Are They?

Our client are a construction company based in Crosshands, Carmarthenshire. They possess experienced and competent personnel to deliver high quality Civil Engineering & Groundworks projects.
 
The ideal candidate would be a qualified, professional Quantity Surveyor to estimate costs, material quantities and project timelines. A key part of the role will be to liaise with the team of existing staff who are themselves specialist in their areas.
 
Responsibilities: 

• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Analyze and evaluate contractor bids and proposals
• Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budget
• Review and negotiate change orders and variations
• Conduct site visits to assess work progress and verify quantities

Requirements: 

• Need at least 3 years on site surveying experience.
• A driving licence is an essential requirement of the role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of cost control principles and techniques
• Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
