A little about the role and what you will be doing;
The role of Senior Logistics Coordinator has been identified to support the levels of accuracy and compliance needed to manage import and export compliance, costs, service level and customer expectations within the fast growing FMCG business.
- Manage on a daily basis the hauliers performance, compiling monthly reports to track performance and identify improvement areas.
- Meeting the budgeted cost price of transport movements within the pricing structure, and support plans to build this into the ERP (IFS) system.
- Invoicing completed in a timely manner, ensuring compliance to the companies procurement policy for all storage and distribution suppliers.
- Monitor and manage Import and Export documentation compliance, supporting in the development and improvement import / export procedures.
- Ensure that all movements are completed inline with individual Customer Promise
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly KPI’s that provide control and improvement to the management of transport
- Oversee the organisation of transport for all export deliveries; ensuring costings are in place for all existing routing and new routes to market.
- Organisation of transport and/or customs documentation for all imports.
- Take a continuous improvement approach to identify and implement efficiencies within storage and distribution business areas.
A little about you;
You will be an experienced Logistics professional along with having the following skills
- Working knowledge of Import and Export Procedures, alongside the challenge of new Brexit rules
- Inbound and Outbound Planning
- Order book control
- Experience of raising Health certificates
- Inventory control processes
- ERP System
- Third party Supplier Management
- Continues Improvement
- Experience dealing with HMRC preferred but not essential
