The Role – Senior Practice Accountant:
This is more than just crunching numbers. As a Qualified Accountant, you’ll be working alongside the Director, helping to drive the business forward while delivering top-notch service to clients. With an open path to directorship, your ambition won’t go unnoticed here!
What you’ll be doing as the Senior Practice Accountant:
- Handling personal tax, VAT returns, tax planning, and accounts like a pro
- Mentoring and guiding junior accountants (pass on that wisdom!)
- Reviewing and finalising work – you’re the go-to for quality checks
- Managing workflows, deadlines, and onboarding clients (and teaching them the digital ropes)
- Preparing financial statements and delivering snappy reports
- Running client meetings – yes, you’ll be the face they trust
- Helping shape the future of the practice
What you bring to the table:
- Fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CTA (you’ve earned those letters!)
- Loads of experience in an accountancy practice (you know the drill) Minimum 3 years, great if you have 5 plus!
- Tech-savvy with tools like Xero, QuickBooks, and Dext
- A sharp eye for business opportunities and a head for growth
- Mentor vibes – ready to guide the next gen of accountants
- Confident communicator – especially when talking money with client
