THE ROLE ..
The Quality Technician is responsible to be successful in their role and
must have a clear understanding of Policies, Procedures and the
Company Objectives in order to implement and comply with them.
Taking responsibility and ownership of the development and
maintenance of the companies reports, documentation and Management
Systems, the Quality Technician ensures consistency and accuracy
throughout all Safety, Security, Health Environmental Management
System and Controls Management System associated
documentation. Ensuring the high quality documentation behind the
SHEMS and CMS framework is paramount to ensure compliance with
applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
DUTIES ..
- Maintains high quality Management Systems
- Ensures that a high quality and consistent document folder structure is implemented and applied across the terminal
- Acts as the owner of document template standards for technical and business uses e.g. Procedures, Forms, Technical reports, Inspection report, Management reports
- Responsible for electronic and hardcopy filing systems design including retention processes
- Administers and owns company’s Technical Specifications
- Audits processes, policies and procedures to improve compliance and effectiveness
- Produces quality document reports, data trends and issues new document / document reference number as required.
- Creates, updates, and/or reviews SHEMS related documents, in collaboration with process owners
- Administration of the technical department KPIs and Dashboard in support of management quality and to improve company image
WHAT YOU WILL NEED ..
To be considered for this position you will ideally have the following:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
- Certification in Technical Writing or higher-level clerical qualification
- Significant relevant practical experience of good Documentation and Control practices preferably within an Oil and Gas environment
- Experience of using an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)
- Experience using a wide variety of Microsoft Office tools and databases
- Excellent organisational and quality skills
