A little about the role and what you will be doing;
This is a newly created role will provide support to the Production Planner and provide cover for the general department when required.
There will be an opportunity within the role not only to train on-site, but to attend college on a day release basis to gain further understanding and qualification within the planning role.
- Utilise plan to ensure raw materials are available to produce products
- Work with the Factory Planner, Logistics Coordinator to satisfy the planned volume in advance.
- Deliver daily plans to shift managers.
- Build and manage relationships with external and internal teams
- Participation in the review of current systems and contribute to continuous improvement in line with organisational strategy
- Ability to deliver to meet the timescales and specifications of both internal and external customers
- Documenting all planning historical information and data, producing relevant reports as required.
- To actively participate in the production planning routine, working closely with Factory Planner, Logistics & Services Manager and Operations Manager to maintain a robust and manageable factory daily schedule.
A little bit about you and want you need for this role
- Good level of general education (A levels or equivalent)
- Advanced Microsoft excel skills – Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, formulas and the ability to extract data
- Shows the desire to learn & and progress a career within planning
- Not afraid to ask for help and support
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- You will live close to the factory or have own transport due to the rural location – this is an office based role and not easily accessible on public transport links
