Salary £45,000 + 20% annual bonus
Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

  
To manage the Warehousing and Distribution group based at the Wales site. Responsible for the strategic direction of distribution and warehousing activities and provide a cost-effective service to the Wales site and wider Group, in line with Regulatory requirements.
  
Principle Responsibilities
Efficiently and effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the Wales Warehousing and distribution team along with the provision of purchase order and procurement services for the Wales site.
Accountable for all import/export shipment activities, ensuring execution is done to the highest standard as aligned with internal and external expectations though continuous improvement of shipping systems to adapt to changing requirements.
Develop the warehousing inventory strategy and ensure that correct levels are determined, maintained, and challenged in line with lean principles.
Ensure that the correct inventory strategy is employed to maintain the manufacturing schedule and minimise stock outs of key materials whilst minimizing scrappage due to expiries.
Ensure that the warehousing space is optimised to maximum efficiency, that it is cGMP compliant at all times and that there is no Regulatory action taken against the site as a result of deficiencies in the area.
Develop the systems and processes used to manage inventory and stock-usage that ensure consistent compliance and accuracy.
Maintain effective relationships with suppliers such that items meet the required Quality System requirements.
Provide an efficient service to on-site departments which meets customer expectations in the most cost-effective manner.
Ensure that receipt and inspection of incoming materials is performed in a timely manner and maintains the required strategic inventory policy.
Prepare and manage departmental budgets whilst seeking opportunities to further reduce costs.
Ensure that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with the Company values.
Carry out other reasonable tasks as required by the Line Manager.

Education and Experience
Ideally educated to degree standard in science, business, or related qualification.
A relevant level of experience with a solid background in materials control and inventory policy setting.
Good knowledge of stock control strategies and setting appropriate holding levels.
  
Skills and Attributes
Excellent communicator at all levels.
Must be able to work under pressure and co-ordinate several activities concurrently.
Logical and numerate with an aptitude for detail.
The ability to chair and present at meetings to ensure results are achieved.
A keen strategic thinker who is willing to apply new concepts and ideas to take the business forward.
A strong people manager with the ability to engage and motivate the team to higher goals.
