Job Title: Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver
Location: Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire
Job Type: Temp to Perm basis – one month temporary cover
Pay: £12.21 per hour (£16.28 overtime rate for any hours worked over 40 hours/week)
Hours: 39.5 hours/week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (8.30am-5.00pm) & Saturday (9.00am-5.00pm)
Responsibilities:
- Picking orders, recording and checking stock, collating paperwork, yard picking
- Loading customers orders directly into their vehicles and preparing order to be delivered directly to farms
- Dealing with customers face to face in a professional manner
- Placing all incoming goods in an organised and efficient manner, and identifying stock anomalies and taking appropriate action
- Storing chemicals and hazardous goods in the correct manner
- Operating a forklift truck whilst adhering to requisite Health and Safety standards
- Participating in any duties in the interests of Health & Safety, including COSHH compliance, Spillage clean-up, and safe manual handling
Requirements:
- Able to carry out a manual handling role, and be able to lift 25kg in a safe manner
- Able to drive a Counterbalance Forklift, with appropriate valid licence/s (highly desirable but not 100% essential)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative
- Able to memorise stock locations
- Professional towards supporting customers needs
- Able to demonstrate previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment
