Our client: Our client are within the Oil & Gas industry, located in the beautiful coastal area of Pembrokeshire, and are currently seeking a Electrical Engineer to join their Technical Services Department.
Job Description/ The role: The Electrical Engineer will join a busy Technical Services department, where they will have a working knowledge of Industry standards associated with the Electrical discipline and will ensure the safety and reliability of the electrical distribution network for the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Approve Engineering designs and provide specialist support for the Electrical elements within all projects
- Develop ideas into projects and produce BOD (basis of design) work scopes
- Attend external organisation meetings – EEMUA, Energy Institute and IET and feedback any changes in legislation
- Actively engage WITH SMEs and peers across the industry and the company network
- Maintain condition reviews for all Electrical infrastructure and equipment on site, interpret the data and produce ranking for input into the CAPEX replacement plan
- Manipulate Electrical Infrastructure Modelling software.
- Provide specialist Electrical support to the refinery operations, maintenance and improvement teams when required
What we need from you:
- BSc/BEng degree in Electrical Engineering
- Have or be working towards incorporated or chartered engineer status with a relevant engineering institution
- Experience working with voltages up to 132kv
- Previous experience of working in an Electrical Engineering or Project Engineering role would be advantageous
- Good organisational and communication skills working with and leading multi-functional teams both inside and outside of the refinery
- Proficient in the MS suite of software and familiar with SAP functionality within the job role
- i.e purchase requisitions, SAP new equipment master management etc
