Our client: Our client, based in the picturesque coastal region of Pembrokeshire and operating in the Oil & Gas industry, is looking for a Project Manger to join their Leadership Team.
Job Description/ The role: The Project Manager plays a vital leadership role, overseeing projects that drive strategic objectives. This includes managing internal and external initiatives to enhance plant reliability, address aging infrastructure, and support decarbonisation. The role requires balancing operational needs with sustainability goals while collaborating across teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Ensure adequate budget and resources for project delivery in compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to enhance terminal integrity, reliability, and efficiency.
- Work with the Head of Commercial on business development opportunities.
- Act as a technical representative in external engagements and business development.
- Ensure project compliance with legislation, standards, and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate project risks to minimise operational disruptions.
- Support the decarbonisation strategy by integrating sustainable solutions.
- Oversee CapEx budget management, ensuring adherence to corporate governance.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and development support for the Project Management team
What is required from you:
- 10+ years’ experience in project management within the energy or industrial sector.
- Proven ability to manage complex infrastructure projects, budgets, and schedules.
- Strong understanding of terminal operations, asset management, and reliability engineering.
- Expertise in regulatory compliance, safety standards, and risk management.
- Experience in decarbonisation strategies and sustainability initiatives.
